Facebook announced Wednesday that it is reimagining its Creator Studio tool as a standalone AI companion app designed to help creators grow their audiences on the social network.
By giving creators access to this AI companion app, Meta is looking to keep creators active on Facebook as it competes for their attention against competitors like TikTok and YouTube. The company is also likely hoping the app will eliminate the need for creators to resort to third-party tools like ChatGPT when brainstorming content ideas and analyzing performance.
The new app, which is currently being tested with a select group of creators, will feature Facebook’s recently launched AI Creator Assistant. The Assistant provides creators with personalized recommendations based on their content style, performance, audience engagement, and goals.

Creators often have to sift through charts and dashboards to understand their performance, but with an AI assistant, they can get quick answers to questions like “When should I post?” and “What do people say in my comments?” Because the AI assistant is conversational, it can also ask follow-up questions, such as how their audience has changed over time.
In addition to the built-in AI Assistant, Creator Studio will include a host of several new features, such as an AI-powered commenting tool that will help surface the most important comments and draft responses in the creator’s own style. Facebook says content creators can edit and approve formulated responses before they’re published.
When creators open the app each day, they’ll see a feed of daily priorities: review the performance of their most recent posts, track progress toward goals, and flag comments that need a response.

Wednesday’s announcement adds to Meta’s recent flurry of app launches. Last month, the company rolled out a standalone Facebook Groups app called Forum that works similarly to Reddit. In April, Meta launched a new app called Instants that allows users to share disappearing photos with Instagram friends.
The pipeline continues to grow. The New York Times reported on Tuesday that Meta is building its own Polymarket-like app, internally called “Arena,” though it has not yet launched.
The rhythm is deliberate. The Wall Street Journal reported in April that CEO Mark Zuckerberg told employees that AI-driven efficiencies would enable the company to build more apps than it has historically.
