✅ Here’s what you’ll learn:

The fifth and final series of Netflix’s hit Stranger Things is set to be one of the biggest shows of the year. The first part airs on November 27, but a five-minute clip of the terrifying opening has been shared online.

The episode “Crawl” takes fans back to the beginning of the series in 1983, after the disappearance of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp).

“Should I stay or should I go?” Will sings as he tries to keep calm on “Upside Down.” Things quickly get terrifying when the Demogorgon appears and drags Will to Vecna’s (Jamie Campbell Bower) lair. “Finally, we can get started,” Lowell said as he shot a vine down his throat. “You and I, we will do such beautiful things together.”

The second part of the series finale will air on Boxing Day, with the final episode airing on New Year’s Day – which will also be shown in selected cinemas.

The synopsis reads: “In the fall of 1987. Hawkins has been scarred by the opening of rifts, and our heroes are united in one goal: to find and kill Vecna. But he has disappeared – his whereabouts and plans unknown. Further complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her to return to hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, a heavy, familiar memory also approaches. The final battle looms on the horizon – and with it, A darkness stronger and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone – the entire group – to stand together one last time.

The surprise clip was uploaded to YouTube following the series’ Los Angeles premiere on Thursday, which was attended by cast members including Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour.

“It’s bigger…it’s more action and special effects, but it’s also by far the most emotional season because it’s the end of the story for all these characters,” series co-creator Matt Duffer recently said of the final episodes.

Ross Dover, his brother and creative partner, added: “Bringing this idea out to the world is nerve-racking, but we’re ready to finally show it.”
