Join truemetrics – Build technology to navigate the world

truemetrics helps organizations to navigate the world more efficiently. We are solving one of the biggest pain points in last mile delivery: how to get parcels, groceries, and food to the right door faster and more efficiently.

Our technology sits in the smartphone of the courier and understands where they park, walk and enter a building. Our technology is right now mapping locations in Germany, Qatar, the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, the Netherlands and many other countries.

Our traction

YC-backed, profitable, and past €1.5M ARR – selling to enterprise carriers like GLS, DPD, and PostNord. The core works. Now the job is the take-off from €1M to €10M+: strengthening what’s working today (the now) and discovering what’s next (the new).

Who we are

We are a tech-driven, customer-obsessed company with a small but highly skilled team, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in mapping and positioning.

You’ll work directly with the two founders. Ingo (CEO), a serial founder with a background in engineering and tech consulting, leads go-to-market and customers. Jan (CTO), with a PhD in control theory and a decade of engineering experience, leads tech and product.

We thrive on autonomy, ownership, and speedβ€”which means we’re looking for curious problem-solvers who love tackling hard challenges and making an immediate impact. If you want structure, rigid processes, and a slow corporate environment, this is not the place for you.

The role

You work directly with the founders – no layer in between – and you your focus will be to answer the question: what should truemetrics sell next, and how do we sell it. You’ll form a point of view, prove it with real customers, and be accountable for turning the answer into something repeatable. That plays out along two paths:

Path 1 β€” Discover the next wedge (the new). Product and market innovation in and around logistics: new products from the data we already own, new use cases for our tech beyond parcel delivery, and where delivery is heading next. You research a space, form a point of view, test it with customers, and help build what works.

Path 2 β€” Run and strengthen the core business (the now). Support ongoing customer projects, onboard new customers, and push truemetrics into new geographies. Get on-site with COOs, ride along with drivers, and crack our hardest question: why better data doesn’t always translate into operational impact – and what unlocks the take-off.

You won’t be handed a playbook – you’ll write one.

Your first 90 days

  • By day 30 β€” immerse. Learn the product cold, ride along with drivers, sit in on customer POCs and sales calls, and map our pipeline and deals. Understand firsthand why better data doesn’t always translate into take-off – and start forming your own hypotheses.
  • By day 60 β€” get your hands dirty. Take real ownership of a live customer project or a wedge worth investigating, and start pressure-testing where the next chunk of revenue could come from – directly with customers.
  • By day 90 β€” bring a bet. Present a validated point of view on what we should sell next and how, with a plan – and be running at least one real thread end to end (a deal, a new geography, or a validated new wedge).

What we’re really looking for

Two things matter more than any specific background:

  • You originate. You don’t just analyze options or wait for direction – you form a point of view, commit to a bet, and drive it. When you see a problem, your instinct is “here’s what I’d do,” not “here are five things one could consider.”
  • You have real commercial drive. You’re energized by the selling and building side – talking to customers, running deals, opening new markets – not just studying them from a distance. You want to be in the arena.

Beyond that:

  • Fast, flexible, and sharp. You context-switch well, get up to speed on a new company or problem quickly, and are comfortable with ambiguity and a half-defined scope.
  • Comfortable in the real world. You can sit with a COO in the morning and ride along with a driver in the afternoon, and speak both languages. You’re drawn to operational reality, not just slides.
  • Strong communicator and self-starter. High autonomy, low hand-holding.
  • Based in Berlin with a valid work permit. This is a full-time, on-site role (home-office 1 days/week is normal) working closely with the founders.

Who thrives here

We’re open on background – the two must-haves above matter more than any rΓ©sumΓ© line. But this role is built for A-players who’ve done something like this before. People who tend to thrive here are:

  • Ex-founders who’ve built and sold, and want to go zero-to-one again without carrying the whole company alone.
  • GTM or commercial leaders who have personally driven a step-change – taken a product from early traction to real scale, cracked a hard market, or built a motion from scratch.
  • Top-tier operators who’ve led a transformation and want a bigger canvas: prior Founders Associate / EiR, ex-consultants who actually owned outcomes, or logistics/operations leaders ready to build rather than run.

If you’ve done the hard version of this before and want to do it again with more ownership and more upside, we want to hear from you.

Why join us?

  • Real impact. Your work ships into production and moves the company’s direction – visibly, fast.
  • Direct founder access. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founding team, no bureaucracy.
  • Ownership from day one. The right person won’t take a predefined template – you’ll push back and have your own idea of what this should be. We expect that, and we give you a say.
  • Backed by the best. Y Combinator, Soma Capital, Rebel Fund, and other top investors.
  • Pick your own hardware. Yearly budget – buy what you want and keep it.
  • Equity package. You’re playing a key role; you should share in the upside. A meaningful equity package is planned for this position alongside salary.

Why NOT to join us?

If you need a team to help you got things done, a slow pace, if you are uncomfortable with uncertainty, or a job where you can coast without ownership, this isn’t it. We move fast, iterate quickly, and expect everyone to contribute with initiative and creativity.

How to apply

  • Include your CV.
  • Tell us why you’re a great fit – be specific. Bonus: point to a time you originated something and drove it yourself, not as part of a defined playbook.
