📌 Here’s what you’ll learn:

Robin Rufus, Sunderland, £4.7m, goalkeeper – Everton (h)

You can’t ignore Sunderland’s good start to the season, especially their defence.

Rufus is already the top-scoring goalkeeper – thanks to four clean sheets and a penalty save – and faces an Everton side who have scored just three goals in their past six matches.

Nordi Mukiele, Sunderland, £4.1m – Everton (h)

If you support Sunderland’s defence, why not double down.

I picked Omar Alderete over Mukiele for their trip to Chelsea, and it was the latter who finished with 17 points.

There is not much difference between the two in terms of expected goals (xG) and expected assists (xA). Both are great budget options, but Alderete is an injury doubt this week.

Gabriel, £6.5m, and Joren Temper, £6.1m, both from Arsenal – Burnley (A)

How can you avoid having at least one of this pair on your team right now?

Burnley have found their goalscoring boots, with five goals in two games, but that is Arsenal’s defence.

The last time they conceded in any competition was on September 28, after six consecutive clean sheets.

Daniel Munoz, Crystal Palace, £5.7m – Brentford (h)

Forget defensive contribution points, Munoz is the man to turn to if you want offensive return from your defenders.

The Colombian already has four goals (one goal and three assists) partly due to his position on the pitch – he is a right winger at times.

Munoz has had 10 shots inside the box in nine matches, which is a huge number for a defender.

Brentford have scored in all but one match, so a clean sheet is not a clear cut for Palace here, but that would just be a bonus for Munoz.
