FPL gameweek 22 tips: Antoine Semenyo, Florian Wirtz and Dominic Calvert-Lewin to start

Florian Wirtz, Liverpool£8.2 million – Burnley (h)

Burnley’s defence, the second worst away from home, is always the one to target and Wirtz has been in fine form recently.

He was barely a threat in the 0-0 draw with Arsenal, but before that he had three-pointers in four games including two from 10.

In those four matches, he and striker Hugo Ekitike – who missed one of them – stood out above all of Liverpool’s other attacking assets.

Look at the numbers for those games:

Wirtz – 11 shots, 2 big chances, 11 chances created, 2 goals, 1 assist and 1 set of defensive contribution points.

Ekitiki – 16 shots, four big chances, three goals and one assist.

These are two Liverpool assets that Premier League managers should trust.

bruno guimarães, Newcastle£7.2 million – Wolves (A)

While the Brazilian is at that level – 10, 10, 11 points in back-to-back games – you have to pick him.

He scored three goals from just five shots, and only three of them were from inside the penalty area. Logic says his streak of points can’t continue but… the Wolves are away.

Even though the shape of the underside has improved, you still have to target them.

antoine semenio, Manchester City£7.6 million – Manchester United (A)

It doesn’t look like Pep Guardiola will spend any time gently putting Semenho into his team. The Ghanaian striker came straight into the team and scored in his first two matches.

Does anyone expect the Manchester derby to be close? City lost their best centre-back duo and United were unable to keep a clean sheet all season.

Semenyu’s production at Bournemouth looks likely to continue at his new club.

enzo fernandes, Chelsea£6.4 million – Brentford (h)

Only Brentford’s Kevin Shady (12) has had more chances from midfield this season than Fernandes (10).

Only Bruno Fernandes (35%) has a higher expected involvement in goal when on the pitch than the Argentine (34%).

While Premier League managers wait for Cole Palmer to rediscover his best form, the much cheaper Fernandes is an asset Chelsea should opt for.
