In the four matches that followed his return from the Africa Cup of Nations, there were signs that his departure was imminent.

Salah had 14 shots in that time (more than anyone else in the league), 12 in the penalty area, three big chances but no goals. He has three assists.

The least that can be said is that Forest have been inconsistent this season and Liverpool are achieving some form.

bruno fernandes, Manchester United£9.8 million – Everton (a)

Fernandes has been fairy gold dust since returning from injury in Week 21, so don’t let his empty-net goal at West Ham last time out put you off.

The Portuguese has 44 points in those six matches and not even a penalty there. In contrast, Cole Palmer had the same amount of points in six games but with four penalties.

Fernandes’ potential is off the charts and Everton have just one clean sheet in their last seven matches.

Cole Palmer (Captain) Chelsea£10.6 million – Burnley (h)

He may have relied on penalties due to his recent rise, but that’s what makes Palmer such a great asset in the FPL in the first place.

If you’re looking to pick up points in your mini-league, Palmer is the best spread with just 15% ownership.

And Burnley is at home… well, things won’t get much better!

antoine semenio, Manchester City£8.0 million – Newcastle (h)

Any fears that Semenyu’s production might suffer in his move to City, with so many attacking options available, are unfounded.

He has scored in both home games and now faces a Newcastle side who have conceded eight goals in their past three matches.
