📌 **What You’ll Learn**:
antoine semenio, Manchester City£8.3 million – West Ham (a)
Premier League managers will have some tough decisions to make next week when Arsenal and City are empty-handed – a lot of teams will likely have Semenho, Erling Haaland and two Arsenal players, at least.
Semenho is City’s most productive player at the moment, especially with Haaland’s goal drought.
Choose it with confidence every week.
Bruno Fernandes (Captain), Manchester United£10.1 million – Aston Villa (h)
Ditto.
Fernandes is United’s best player (and FPL asset). He picked up another assist and more points at Newcastle last time out, even in defeat.
I’ve already talked before about his most amazing stats since returning from injury in Week 21. Now a new one – 14 plus points in that time which is, you guessed it, the most of any player.
Mohamed Salah, Liverpool£14 million – Tottenham (h)
Watching Salah as an FPL team owner isn’t a great experience at the moment – he doesn’t look like his old self or seem like much of a threat.
But he has scored in consecutive matches now in all competitions, so can he return to good form? He had a great chance and an xG value of 0.28 against Wolves last time out, which isn’t too bad.
Tottenham are in dire straits at the moment. Without two key centre-backs, and losing five in a row, it looks like Liverpool could hit the ground running here.
Salah scored three goals and made two assists in two league matches against Tottenham last season.
Ismail Sarr, Crystal Palace£6.3 million – Leeds (h)
FPL managers who kept their faith in Sarr last time out were rewarded with a brace – and that was coming.
Sarr is the king of basic statistics. Since his return from the Africa Cup of Nations in Week 23, he has had the most chances – tied with Cole Palmer – of any midfielder (7).
These numbers have been consistent throughout the season.
He has a 0.68 top chance per appearance – only Brian Mbeumo has a higher figure.
The Senegalese midfielder’s xG is 0.42 per appearance, bettered only by Palmer (0.46).
Marcus Tavernier, Bournemouth£5.3 million – Burnley (a)
Tavernier was on this team during the previous game week and hit the post twice, recording a 1.37 xG.
Unlucky, but all signs suggest he could be the jewel of the bargain for the rest of the season, especially as he is likely to take penalties for Bournemouth.
Burnley conceded four goals in their last home game, and the visitors to Turf Moor in the league have scored at least two goals in every game since a goalless draw with Everton at the end of December.
