📌 **What You’ll Learn**:
Liverpool face a Tottenham side who have scored 14 goals in their past four matches in all competitions.
There are plenty of options in attacking positions, with Mohamed Salah (£14m), Dominik Szoboszlai (£6.9m), Alexis McAllister (£6.3m) and Florian Wirtz (£8.3m) all viable.
It’s worth noting that just because Salah is the most expensive, and has historically been a great Premier League pick, there is no evidence to suggest that the Egyptian will outperform Liverpool’s cheaper midfielders over the next two weeks.
Striker Hugo Ekiteke (£9.1m) has been disappointing recently (aside from the result against West Ham) but I’m confident he will come in good form against Tottenham and Brighton. He has 11 goals and four assists in 20 games this season.
Virgil van Dijk (£6.2m) would be my favorite defender, especially as he has three attacking strikes in the last four weeks, but if money is tight, go for the cheaper Ibrahima Konate (£5.5m).
However, BBC commentator Chris Coles, who was a guest on the podcast this week, has decided not to include any Liverpool players in his squad.
He said: “I don’t have any Liverpool players, but I’m worried about Liverpool because Tottenham at home is a great match for them.”
“Florian Wirtz, Hugo Equitiki tempted me off the market [price] “There’s no way I can take two without destroying my entire team.”
