The British heavyweight title bout between Fraser Clarke and Jimmy “TKV” Chikiva has been postponed to November 29 after TKV suffered an injury in training.
It was originally scheduled to take place on 25 October at Derby’s Vaylant Stadium and will remain at the same venue, as well as being broadcast live on BBC Two and iPlayer.
The rearranged card will still mark the first event in a new partnership between BBC Sport and Boxxer.
Boxxer promoter Ben Shalom said: “Jimmy suffered an injury in training and the medical advice was that he could not compete.”
“There is an added advantage to the fight. Fraser feels ready to win now and is frustrated at having to change his entire training plan.
“Jamie will be desperate to prove that he is fight ready and capable of beating Frazier.
“They have been completely respectful of each other up until now, but that seems to be changing as feelings grow on both sides.”
Final details of the undercard – which will still feature British bantamweight Francesca Hennessy against former atomweight world champion Fabiana Peticki – will be confirmed in due course.
