DETROIT — GM On Monday, it announced a 5.5% increase in its annual U.S. sales in 2025, despite a 6.9% decline during the fourth quarter.
The Detroit automaker’s sales results last year were driven by rising sales of electric vehicles as well as gains in large SUVs and entry-level vehicles like the Buick Envista.
GM’s 2025 sales are expected to be among the US auto industry’s top sales, which Cox Automotive expects to rise about 2% compared to 2024.
Other US automakers also reported 2025 sales. toyota motorAmazon sales rose 8%; Hyundai achieved record sales for the third year in a row, with an increase of 8.4% Honda Motor It rose by 0.5%.

“With back-to-back quarterly sales increases and market share growth, it is clear that we are taking the right steps to reset our U.S. business,” Jeff Komor, Stellantis’ U.S. retail president, said in a statement. “There is still work to do, but we have made progress this year with a variety of engines.”
