George Kittle and wife Claire make big personal decision about 49ers-Seahawks playoff game after rupturing Achilles tendon

George Kittle and his wife, Claire, made the crucial decision to stay in San Francisco to watch the 49ers’ playoff game. The NFL tight end suffered a season-ending injury in Sunday’s wild card round and is scheduled to miss this week’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Kittle cheers on his team off the field, and on Saturday, his wife shared a photo of them supporting the Niners from their home. They decided to watch the game from home instead of traveling to Seattle.

She shared a mirror selfie of herself next to her husband wearing a Niners jersey and added a caption in which she talked about the divisional playoffs.

“Happy division game! We’ll be cheering our hearts out from the couch,” she wrote.

Claire Kittle wore a black crop top with matching pants while her husband wore a white shirt.

George Kittle ruptured his Achilles tendon last week, and later shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram account on Monday, expressing his gratitude to people for their support.

“Football sucks sometimes,” he wrote. “But I love it. I love these guys and this team. My heart is broken but I felt so much love and support from everyone. I’ll be good. Thank you. We’re not done yet! Also when your team owner is the first person to meet you in the locker room, you know you’re in a special place. 🥃 Cheers, all my love.”

Kittle played in 11 games this season for the 49ers and recorded 628 receiving yards.

George Kittle’s wife, Claire, reacts to Kyle Goscheck’s sweet gesture at the teams’ playoff game

Since George Kittle missed this week’s divisional playoff game due to injury, teammate Kyle Goscheck took the field with “FGK” (for George Kittle) written on his gloves. The Niners shared a video of Juszczyk from the field before the divisional game.

Claire Kettle reshared it on her Instagram story with a sweet caption.

“Added a brother to the wrist,” she wrote with a red heart emoji.

Earlier this week, Kyle Goscheck’s wife, Kristin, shared a joint post with Claire Kittle and their YouTube series, “Wife’d Up Mic’d Up,” on Instagram, where they showed a glimpse of the reaction of people in the suite cheering on the Niners in the Wild Card game after seeing George Kittle on the court.

The clip showed Claire Kittle getting emotional after her husband was injured on the field, even praying for him to get up. However, he was eventually taken off the field and forced to miss the remaining games in the postseason.
