💡 **What You’ll Learn**:

Police in Miami say Davis “grabbed” the victim “by the back of her hair with one hand and by her throat with the other,” before he “forcibly” attempted to move her.

“The victim reported that they had been involved in an intimate relationship for approximately five months,” the statement continued.

“Lead Detective Gary Florencio obtained and viewed surveillance video footage that cooperated with the lead operatives in the victim’s statement.”

The arrest warrant for the 31-year-old American comes after his ex-girlfriend, Courtney Russell, filed a civil suit against him in October.

The lawsuit charges Davis with battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Russell is also seeking punitive damages “in excess of $50,000” (£38,145) and has requested a jury trial.

Davis was scheduled to fight YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in an exhibition match in Miami on November 14, but was pulled from the bout after the lawsuit was filed.

The arrest warrant issued for Davis comes six months after another ex-girlfriend dropped a domestic violence case against Davis.

He was also previously arrested on domestic violence battery charges in February 2020 and December 2022.

Davis served 44 days in jail in 2023 after violating the terms of a 90-day house arrest sentence, in connection with a criminal hit-and-run that occurred in his hometown of Baltimore in November 2020.
