✅ Main takeaway:

City’s hopes of a comeback seemed to have vanished after just three minutes, when Mel Geigel opened the scoring for Kogi, as she did in the first leg.

The former Crystal Palace midfielder took a short corner kick to Ricky Madsen and latched on to her fellow Danish international’s shot from the sideline before directing her low shot into the far corner from inside the box.

However, City were shooting the ball much faster than in the first leg in Denmark, and equalized within six minutes.

Captain Amy Muir put Nicole Kozlova on the left wing and strike partner Abby Harrison fired the former Kogi player’s low ball into the box.

Goalkeeper Lee Gibson made two superb saves before City restored parity on aggregate in the 25th minute when Emily Whelan headed home a powerful header from left-back Moir’s cross to the back post.

City’s joy only lasted two minutes when Nadia Nadeem, the veteran former Manchester City and Denmark striker, advanced from the left wing and sent a shot with her right foot over Gibson and into the far corner.

Glasgow took the lead again that night when Harrison rose above the visiting goalkeeper to meet Lisa Evans’ corner and the ball hit Emma Belkowski and into the net.

Fellow midfielder Sarah Thygesen took advantage of Emma Brownlee’s mistake to score what looked like a fatal strike for the Danes six minutes before normal time.

However, Brownlee made amends by rising to meet another Evans corner kick and level the score on aggregate as the match went into extra time.

And just when it looked like extra time might be needed, Lisa Forrest headed a cross from fellow substitute striker Sofia Mata over the stranded goalkeeper to signal happy scenes among the home fans.
