The awards, created by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, are determined through a poll of 50 selected sports journalists from across Europe.
It is awarded to the best under-21 footballers every year, with Barcelona striker Lamin Yamal becoming the winner of the Golden Boy award last year.
Vicky Lopez, also from Barcelona, was the Golden Girl winner.
The likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Wayne Rooney have previously won the men’s award, while Germany’s Jules Brand and Colombia’s Linda Caicedo took home the women’s award.
To be considered for participation in 2025, a player must have been born on or after 1 January 2005 and belong to a team in one of the top 25 UEFA leagues.
Although still eligible, 18-year-old Yamal was not among the nominees because a player cannot win the award twice.
