💡 **What You’ll Learn**:

Google CEO Sundar Pichai opened the Google Cloud Next conference on Wednesday with a video announcing one of the company’s biggest new products: the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform.

Google’s tool aims to create and manage agents at scale. This is Google’s answer to Amazon’s Bedrock AgentCore and Microsoft Foundry.

Since AI, and agents in particular, are more advanced in technical tasks like programming, and the technology is so new to the enterprise that security remains a real concern, Google has made an interesting choice with this tool. Agent Platform is specifically aimed at IT and technical teams.

Meanwhile, entrepreneurs are turning to what Google calls the Gemini Enterprise app, which was introduced in the fall. Google says they can work with IT-created agents or create their own for tasks like scheduling meetings, performing trigger-based operations, creating shortcuts to repetitive tasks, or creating and editing files without having to switch apps.

Google also emphasized that the core models these tools leverage include Google’s own Gemini LLM and Nano Banana 2 image generator, as well as Anthropic’s Claude. The company has announced support for the Claude Opus, Sonnet and Haiku – in other words, flagship, logical and low-cost models, including the new Opus 4.7 launched last week.
