England white-ball captain Harry Brook said other players were present when he was involved in an altercation with a nightclub bouncer before a one-day international in New Zealand.

Brock had initially suggested he was out alone in Wellington on the evening of November 1, but in a statement issued on Friday evening, he admitted others were with him and that he had lied to protect them “from being drawn into a situation”.
