✅ Here’s what you’ll learn:

Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim admitted that Diogo Dalot cannot cross from the left side because he plays on his right foot. This is believed to be the main reason why the Portuguese defender tried to drift and was left without space.

Speaking to the media after the 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest, Amorim said that fielding Dalot as a left-back was a problem. He wants to see more crosses, but the defender is unable to do so as he will need to use his weaker foot. He said (via CenterDevils):

“If you see Dalot, you will find that Dalot often has the ball with space to cross, but he plays on the right foot, and he is always inside with no space.”

Speaking about the match, he added that his team dominated the match, but five minutes of poor performance saw them fall behind. He said (via the club’s website):

“We lost control of the game for five minutes and we paid the price. I felt like the energy level wasn’t the same compared to the last game. Sometimes, when you play away from home, you can feel it. [My players] He gave everything he could, and you could see that in the match, but in the little details, the energy wasn’t what it was. We have to work on it. As I was saying, we were in control of the game. “In the Premier League, if the connection is cut for five minutes, you can change the result.”

Manchester United took the lead through Casemiro, but fell behind after Nottingham Forest scored two goals in the first five minutes of the second half. Amad Diallo scored the equalizer nine minutes before the end of the match.

Ruben Amorim pays tribute to the Manchester United star

Manchester United coach, Ruben Amorim, spoke about Amad Diallo after the match, and praised the young man for his goal in the match. He said that the equalizer in the 81st minute raised the team’s morale and he wanted to see more from the full-back.

He said (via the club’s website):

“Imad has a lot of talent, he is growing very quickly. I think we have a lot of young and talented players but we need help in every detail. He is improving a lot, he can play in different positions. I think he can be much better.”

“More consistent in every detail, when he receives the ball, during the build-up, when he is in the final third. You can see in the first half that he had some chances. In a lot of games, he had that chance to get inside and the shot didn’t arrive yet. We are working on that, so he has the potential to do better.”

Manchester United now occupies seventh place in the league table, eight points behind leaders Arsenal. They will next face Tottenham in the English Premier League on Saturday, November 8.
