Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim admitted that Diogo Dalot cannot cross from the left side because he plays on his right foot. This is believed to be the main reason why the Portuguese defender tried to drift and was left without space.

Speaking to the media after the 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest, Amorim said that fielding Dalot as a left-back was a problem. He wants to see more crosses, but the defender is unable to do so as he will need to use his weaker foot. He said (via CenterDevils):

“If you see Dalot, you will find that Dalot often has the ball with space to cross, but he plays on the right foot, and he is always inside with no space.”

Speaking about the match, he added that his team dominated the match, but five minutes of poor performance saw them fall behind. He said (via the club’s website):

“We lost control of the game for five minutes and we paid the price. I felt like the energy level wasn’t the same compared to the last game. Sometimes, when you play away from home, you can feel it.
