Hearts: Sir Alex Ferguson, the ‘fantastic’ Claudio Braga and Tincastle keep the hosts on their way to the title

Former Hearts player Ryan Stevenson was on cash duty as part of Sportsound’s commentary on BBC Radio Scotland and echoed Braga and McInnes’ sentiments.

“The atmosphere is unbelievable,” he said. “What can you offer to be a player on this field now,” he said.

And then he declared: “I think Hearts will win the league. I really believe that.

“I can’t see Hearts collapsing. I can’t see Hearts losing three or four games.

“I can’t see Hearts losing the title now.”

Rangers are in second place, two points behind Celtic, who have a game in hand. These two teams meet at Ibrox on Sunday, so, one way or another, Hearts’ seven-point advantage will be reduced by the end of the weekend.

Celtic travels to Aberdeen on Wednesday to play its postponed match.

Studio critic, former Hearts player Michael Stewart, has similar thinking to Stevenson.

“I think with every game that ends, there’s an extra level of pressure, but I also think there’s an extra level of belief. They’re almost against each other.

“They are the ones sitting there at the head of the table and they deserve it.”
