Hollywood Legend Robert Duvall Dead at 95

Actor Robert Duvall has died, according to a statement from his wife posted to Facebook Monday.

Duvall starred in nearly 100 films during his career, which spanned over seven decades and included classics such as To Kill A Mockingbird, The Godfather Part II, True Grit and Apocalypse Now.

“Yesterday we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time,” Luciana Duvall said in the post, adding. “Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort.”

“To the world, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, a director, a storyteller. To me, he was simply everything,” she continued.

“Bob gave everything to his characters and to the truth of the human spirit they represented. In doing so, he leaves something lasting and unforgettable to us,” she said.
