“I don’t want to reconcile with my family”

Brooklyn Peltz Beckham said in a statement addressing his strained relationship with his parents: “I do not want to reconcile with my family.”

Peltz Beckham, the eldest son of Sir David Beckham and Dame Victoria Beckham, accused his parents of “trying to destroy the infinite.”” His relationship with Nicola Peltz Beckham, before and after their wedding.

“My wife has constantly been disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we try to come together as one,” he wrote on Instagram on Monday.

Speculation has been circulating for months about the existence of a feud within the family. The BBC has contacted representatives for Sir David and Lady Beckham for comment.

The husband never acknowledged this rift.

The 26-year-old said he was subjected to “endless attacks from my parents, in secret and in public, which were sent to the press on their orders.”

He accused his fashion designer mother of obstructing his 2022 wedding, including canceling the making of Nicola’s dress “at the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently search for a new dress.”

Reports emerged at the time that Nicola, 31, had refused to wear one of Lady Beckham’s designs.

She later told The Times that her mother-in-law realized her employer couldn’t finish the work in time, denying allegations of hostility.

He also accused his mother of “hijacking” their first dance.

“In front of 500 wedding guests, Marc Antony invited me to the stage, where my romantic dance with my wife was scheduled to be on the schedule, but instead my mother was waiting to dance with me instead,” he wrote.

“You danced on me inappropriately in front of everyone. I have never felt so uncomfortable or insulted in my entire life.”

He said he and his wife chose to renew their vows in 2025 to create new memories that “bring us joy and happiness, not worry and embarrassment.”

Peltz Beckham also said in his post that he and his wife traveled to London to celebrate Sir David’s birthday but were “rejected for a week while we waited in our hotel room trying to plan a good time with him.”

The pair were absent from Sir David’s 50th birthday party in May and did not post birthday messages online, sparking rumors of a feud between them.

“He rejected all our advances, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras around every corner,” the influencer wrote in a post to his 16 million followers.

He said that his father “finally agreed” to meet him, but on the condition that his wife would not attend, which he described as a “slap in the face,” adding that his family then refused to see him on a subsequent trip to Los Angeles.
