Indiana supporters were criticized by fans for heckling during a game against the Nebraska volleyball team

The Indiana women’s volleyball team faced significant backlash for their unsportsmanlike conduct during a matchup against the Nebraska volleyball team. The Huskers and Indiana face each other for the first time this season, Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at Wilkinson Hall, on Indiana’s Bloomington campus.

The Cornhuskers defeated the opposing team to maintain their unrivaled streak. Along with the Indiana team facing defeat, its fans also received significant criticism for poor sportsmanship, with two of them seen heckling Nebraska players from the sidelines. Fans criticized the mockers, with one writing:

“Indiana fans have no idea how to cheer for winning teams without being the bad type. Basketball might be the exception.”

Another fan questioned the accessibility of fans who were seen harassing players:

“Abominable – and why were they able to be so close to the servers?”

One Husker fan tried to clear up the misunderstanding, pointing out that the two were Indiana employees.

“Do better Indiana. Get some class. These weren’t just fans in their seats. They looked like two employees with clipboards going back and forth all night. They literally stood just feet away from our players harassing them.”

Upcoming matches for the Nebraska volleyball team

The Nebraska volleyball team has yet to compete in two matches to end its regular season. After dominating the Indians, they will compete against a Penn State team for the second time this season. The Huskers previously defeated Penn State on Friday, October 3, 2025, in a straight-up sweep.

The next showdown is scheduled for Friday, November 28 at Nebraska Volleyball’s home arena, Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln. The match will start at 5:30 pm Cairo time. The Cornhuskers will next compete against Ohio State for the first time. The game will be played immediately following the Huskers’ game against Penn State, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the same arena.
