iOS 27 features we didn’t see on stage

The new Siri AI was the star of the show at Apple’s WWDC 2026 event, and although iOS 27 doesn’t bring major changes, it still has many small features that could improve the daily use of iPhone users.

Here’s a non-exhaustive list of features Apple didn’t talk about on stage:

• iOS 27 now lets you add full-screen widgets on your home screen, making it easier to check the news or your calendar.

• Users can now set separate volume levels for alarms, timers, alerts, and system sounds. Users will need to go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics, turn off the Match Ringtone Volume toggle, and adjust the sliders manually.
• Apple makes it easy to copy and paste text or images between apps. When you have text or a screenshot on your clipboard, you will get an option on your keyboard to paste it. This is similar to how one-time passcodes are published from messages.

• The Weather app is getting a design update: There’s a new featured section that displays notable events in the coming days. Plus, you can now easily switch between conditions, precipitation, and wind views.

• Users can now customize the Messages app to show either the voice recording or dictation button, or hide them entirely.

• The Messages app now offers a drawing option, allowing you to draw a note or diagram and send it to others.

• The camera controls get an overhaul, with depth, grid and level options easily accessible.

• The emoji keyboard has a small slider at the bottom.
• The timer has a new slider UI when activated from Control Center.
• You can hide your Find My location from a specific person for a specific period of time without letting them know.
