📌 Here’s what you’ll learn:
Ireland will be without lock Joe McCarthy and winger Mac Hansen due to foot injuries, while centers Robbie Henshaw (groin) and Bandi Ake (hip) have emerged as doubts for the New Zealand match.
However, Fogarty remains hopeful that skipper Kellan Doris will be fit enough to lead the team at Soldier Field.
Dorris, seeded eighth, has not played since undergoing shoulder surgery in early May, ruling her out of the British and Irish Lions’ tour of Australia in the summer.
“I know he’s back. I know he made some modified calls last week,” Fogarty said.
“He’s in great form, he’s fading away. His temperament is nice, how he talks to the players, how he talks to us. He’s a very measured guy.”
“He’s looking really good. I don’t know what his plan is for the next two days. We have two or three sessions on the field. Saturday and Thursday will be performance days, so if he plays in those games, we’ll see where he gets for New Zealand,” Fogarty added.
“It’s in a great place, so we hear.”
After the New Zealand match, Ireland face Japan, Australia and South Africa in Dublin during their autumn campaign.
