Thea Hale and Joe Hendry crashed Chelsea Green and Ethan Page’s celebration on NXT this week. Backstage, Green made a wild claim before quickly realizing what she had just said.

Green and Page won the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship over the weekend at AAA’s Day of the Dead event. They defeated La Hiedra and Mr. Iguana to get the titles. The closing segment of NXT this week witnessed a celebration in honor of Green and Page after they captured the titles.

During this segment, the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions had Alba Fire say Hendry’s name when he appeared from the doorway. He revealed that he wanted a shot at the titles, along with Hail, who ambushed Green, Page, and Fire by throwing cake at their faces.

Backstage, an angry Green claimed she had never experienced anything like this before, as she quickly realized her phrasing wasn’t perfect. Page also chimed in and added that he wasn’t even anointed the same.

Chelsea Green spoke about the current state of the women’s mid-card titles in WWE

Chelsea Green spoke about the current status of the WWE Women’s Championship in the United States and the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Speaking in an interview with Cinema Blindthe former United States Women’s Champion said that the titles should be featured more on WWE programming. She said:

“Do I think we’re going all out with them? No. I’d like to see more work with them. I want Julia to wrestle on TV every week with that title. I want Zelena to be on TV every week. I want Mishin to win the title and be on TV every week. There are long hours of WWE, and we can find a place for those championships if we try.”

Chelsea Green herself is a former United States Women’s Champion and will have another crack at the title when she steps into the ring with Julia on the next edition of SmackDown.
