Earlier this month, the lively players in the King’s Park Rangers dressing room were as keen as Cureton to get his 10th goal over the line.

On his debut he assisted Ben Cannell, but a goal of his own eluded him in a 25-minute substitute appearance for the Suffolk, Great Cornard-based side.

But on Saturday, Cureton made history against Dusindale and Hellesdon Rovers when he came on as a substitute to score the fourth goal in a 4-1 win.

Kings Park Rangers announced the milestone with a post on X: β€œThe legend has completed football!”

After a series of player management roles in the lower league, Cureton signed for the club as a striker in October hoping to “get out of the pressure cooker and just have fun”.

But the veteran striker still has some accomplishments he would like to add to his list.

β€œI think I’m still four or five goals away from 400, so that’s the goal I’d like to chase,” Cureton said.

β€œThe club I work for, we are trying to get promotions, so this is a big goal.

β€œI’ve always said, as long as I’m fit enough – and I’m not letting anyone down – I’ll keep playing.

β€œI just play for fun, because I can still enjoy it and love it.

β€œAdding more points on top is a bonus.”
