In total, Vardy has scored four goals in 10 appearances for promoted Cremonese, who are ninth in Serie A.
He scored nine goals in 35 Premier League matches last season for Leicester City, which resulted in the Foxes being relegated to the second tier.
The Serie A Player of the Year award was introduced in 2019, with the winner determined using a ranking system that uses data tracking software.
