Goalkeeper Craig Gordon believes the game in Piraeus “could have gone anywhere”, with Greek striker Tasos Bakasetas sent off for a second yellow card at the end.

“You heard the noise there coming from the Tartan Army,” the 42-year-old said. “They got into the cup final on Tuesday night.

“This is the best we’ve played in some games so far. We rediscovered that in the last 20 minutes, and it was good to know that’s still there.”

“We’re still a really good team when we play like that. So, yeah, the feeling from that point of view is good that we can push through until Tuesday.”
