✅ Here’s what you’ll learn:

Andrews’ side were beating teams on the counter-attack, averaging more than twice as many takeaways as they had under Frank.

Their four league goals from counter-attacks already equal their tally for all of last season.

Mbwemo, Yoane Wessa and Kevin Shadi scored a total of 50 goals last season, and while few expect them to face that number of goals this season, there are promising signs that their new attack could be very effective.

In Saturday’s impressive win over Liverpool, Dango Ouattara, Thiago and Scheid all scored in the same game for the first time.

Thiago, whose first season at the club was plagued by injury, scored six goals to give fans hope that he will follow in the footsteps of Ivan Toney, Mbeumo and Wesa.

“His heart is huge. His spirit, his courage, and the adversity he faced last year with his injury, settling into a new country and culture,” Andrews said.

“I think what he got here was real support and real belief in him. As someone who has really settled into this club.

“I talk almost every day about his game and how we can improve it. He’s a nightmare to play against – that’s the reality of how he plays the game with such hunger. Sometimes you have to calm him down a bit. He’s proven to be a key player for us, which we thought he would be.”

Brentford have not proudly been in the bottom three at the end of Premier League matches since their promotion, a statistic Andrews has made a good start at maintaining.
