Kiefer Moore: Striker targeting Wrexham promotion and a World Cup double for Wales

Wrexham put their promotion push to one side this weekend when they host another of Moore’s former clubs, Ipswich Town, in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday evening (19:45 GMT).

Phil Parkinson’s men stunned Nottingham Forest in the Premier League in the third round and are targeting a place in the fifth round for the first time in nearly three decades.

It has ensured a significant sum is at stake over the coming months, especially for Moore.

Having helped Bournemouth and Ipswich reach the Championship over recent years, there are few people better qualified than the former savior when it comes to assessing the team’s promotion hopes.

Moore believes many of the qualities that were present during his successful spells with the Cherries and Tractor Boys are on display at Wrexham.

“We have a very good dressing room here and at Ipswich so it was amazing to be part of that and the dressing room was very good,” he explained.

“It’s the atmosphere and characters around a place that can really drive a place, as you both drive each other – it’s a great place to be.”
