Kraft Heinz pauses work to split company as new CEO says ‘challenges are solvable’

Kraft Heinz It said Wednesday it would pause work on its previously announced plans to split the company.

Kraft Heinz CEO Steve Cahillan, who joined Kraft Heinz in January, said in a statement that many of the company’s problems are “solvable and within our control.”

“My first priority is to return the business to profitable growth, which will require ensuring all resources are fully focused on executing our operational plan,” he said. “As a result, we believe it is prudent to pause separation-related work, and we will no longer tolerate any related disruptions this year.”
