The long-running dispute began in July 2023, when Mbappe refused to move to the Saudi Professional League.
Mbappe believes he has been marginalized by the French champions because of this decision and his refusal to sign a contract extension.
He was not invited to participate in Paris Saint-Germain’s pre-season tour of Asia and missed his first match of the season before being returned to the team.
PSG claim this came after the player agreed to waive some end-of-contract payments to protect the club’s financial health.
However, Mbappe’s representatives dismissed this as a “fantasy”, as the player is still awaiting salary and bonus payments.
After Monday’s hearing, PSG said they were seeking “recognition of the significant damages suffered by the club” due to what they described as Mbappe’s “serious breaches of his legally binding contractual obligations.”
The club says Mbappe “acted dishonestly by concealing his decision not to extend his contract for approximately 11 months, between July 2022 and June 2023.”
They also rejected any allegations of “harassment or pressure” and said Mbappe “benefited from exceptional circumstances for seven years at Paris Saint-Germain.”
Mbappe was at Paris Saint-Germain from 2017 to 2024, scoring 256 goals in 308 matches, and winning 15 titles.
The Real Madrid striker was initially demanding €55m (£46.3m) in unpaid wages from the French champions in a dispute that passed through French football’s governing bodies before reaching the courts.
