Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur said he would take into account Hamilton’s comments after the team’s questioning, noting they came in the heat of the moment.

“Let’s calm down. Jumping out of the car and making the first comment is always overkill, and let’s have a discussion after the debrief,” Vasseur said.

“It’s obviously been tough for Lewis the last couple of weekends, and he said it was tough.

“I can understand Lewis’ reaction immediately after the race, but we just have to calm down and focus on the next two races. [races]Because next Monday we will be back.

He added: “And also keep in mind that Lewis was present in the first free practice, and in the second free practice the pace was good, and this means that we have to prepare for the weekend in this way, and starting from 20th place is certainly not the best way to get a good result.”

Hamilton ranks sixth in the Drivers’ Championship, 73 points behind his Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc, who ranks fifth.

Hamilton, 40, has yet to finish on the podium with Ferrari, but he did win the drag race in China in March.

If he fails to finish in the top three in the final two races of 2025, it will mark Hamilton’s first season without a podium in Formula 1.

He was in a late pit stop during the Las Vegas race after uncompetitive qualifying in wet conditions on Friday, where he struggled to get up to speed on very wet tires.

Hamilton described his first year with Ferrari as a “nightmare” after withdrawing from the Sao Paulo Grand Prix two weeks ago.

In an interview with Sky Sports after the Vegas race, he said: “I feel terrible. It’s been the worst season ever and no matter how hard I try, it’s getting worse.”
