LeBron James sets a record for most appearances in the NBA in a dramatic victory over the Los Angeles Lakers

James – the first player to play in 23 consecutive NBA seasons and also the NBA’s all-time record points scorer – contributed 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals to lead the Lakers to their ninth straight win.

The Lakers are in third place in the Western Conference, while the Magic are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference.

“Availability, I’ve always wanted to be available for my teammates,” James added.

“It’s a mental struggle, trying to play a lot and be out there. I just give a lot of credit to the guy up there and [it’s about] “I just love and appreciate the game.”

James was not the only player to achieve this feat, as Kevin Durant surpassed NBA legend Michael Jordan to occupy fifth place on the all-time scoring list in regular season games.

“It means a lot,” said Durant, who passed Jordan with a three-pointer in the fourth quarter.

Elsewhere, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 40 points for the national team Oklahoma City Thunder Where four players were sent off in his team’s fiery 132-111 victory over… Washington Wizards.

The Thunder’s Ajay Mitchell, Jaylen Williams and Kason Wallace, along with Washington’s Justin Champagne, were ejected after a mass brawl near the end of the second quarter.

The Thunder, the defending NBA champion, remains at the top of the Western Conference, while the Wizards are one place away from the bottom in fourteenth place.
