Nancy’s first coaching stint in Europe – following her move from Major League Soccer side Columbus Crew – began with defeats to title rivals Hearts and Roma in the Europa League, before a 3-1 loss to St Mirren in the Scottish League Cup final.
Their recent defeat to Tannadice left Celtic six points behind Premier League leaders Hearts, albeit with a game in hand.
Henry said: “The thing is that it is difficult to come and try to impose your philosophy and identity in the club. Maybe – I don’t know because I haven’t watched many matches – I would play another way.”
“Right now, it’s very early, and I think he can turn things around. He’s a great man with a great mind.
“It’s not going well right now, and obviously it doesn’t look great. But he’s a friend of mine, so I’ll be biased.”

Nancy, who led the Columbus Crew Crew to victory in the MLS Cup in 2023 and the League Cup the following year, was named the 2024 MLS Coach of the Year.
He will look for his first points as Celtic coach when his team hosts Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League on Sunday (15:00 GMT).
