💡 **What You’ll Learn**:

Manning himself lasted just five months in his last job at Norwich, having been relieved of his duties at Carrow Road in November when the Canaries were second from bottom in the Championship.

He took up the role at Norfolk just months after leading Bristol City to the Championship play-offs for the first time since 2008.

Manning previously reached the League One play-offs when he was in charge of MK Dons in 2022, while he led Oxford to automatic promotion places to the third division during the 2023-24 season before leaving for Ashton Gate.

Having had his first training session on Tuesday, Manning will be in charge of Saturday’s League One match against Bradford City.

He will be joined in coaching the team by assistant coach Martin Drury and first-team coach/analyst James Crouse, who has previously worked with him at Oxford, Bristol City and Norwich.

Sporting director Chris Markham added: “An ambitious appointment that would have likely been seen as unrealistic even six months ago. Liam is an impressive individual and professional.”

He added: “His progressive and practical approach to coaching shares many of the ideals and characteristics that the club and, most importantly, our supporters value.”
