Quinn, who played Gaelic football for Donaghmore, is hoping to secure an AFL contract in the future after establishing himself as one of university football’s best players.
During the 2025 season, Quinn broke Marshall’s record for field goals in a single season with 21, four of which were converted from more than 50 yards.
It will mark the end of a remarkable journey for a man who just over a year ago was laying communications wires on roads for work before joining kicking coach Tadhg Leder.
After stepping away from Tyrone in 2024, Quinn traveled with other aspiring players to show off their skills in front of college coaches at an event in Florida 12 months ago.
He scored all eight of his goal attempts and subsequently joined Marshall on a scholarship in May, making his debut for the Thundering Herd against the Georgia Bulldogs in front of 93,000 fans at Sanford Stadium.
“With the Irish final I was on the bench at the back [starting goalkeeper] Niall Morgan in Croke Park [which holds 82,300].
“To get on the field with that ability is unbelievable.
“I came out and it was all new to me. If I had been told at the beginning of the year that I would be doing this kind of thing, I would have pulled my arms away from you.”
“I was out, I had a bit of a slow start and it felt good, I was really happy with the way the season went and it was good to get the records on top of that.”
