Loughborough Lightning 38-43 Gloucester Hartpury: Mia Fenner hat-trick inspires fighting victory for Women’s Super League rugby leaders

Mia Fenner scored a hat-trick of tries as Women’s Rugby Super League leaders Gloucester-Hartpury overcame a first-half deficit to secure a 43-38 win over Loughborough Lightning.

Fenner crossed the goal line in the first minute at Franklin Gardens before Lizzie Golden added a second try to give Gloucester the early lead.

But Loughborough responded with tries from Sadia Kabia and Lily Ives Campion, which were converted by Helena Rowland, turning the game in their favour.
