Luke Littler: A new world number one darts player in his career so far in his own words

Littler’s popularity and stardom extend far beyond the darts audience. He was invited to Penalty kick for Tottenham midfielder James Maddison, external During his first World Championship campaign he took a hot lap around Silverstone with Lando Norris ahead of the British Grand Prix in 2024.

He is an ardent Manchester United fan and has visited their training ground to play darts against the players, while attending matches as a guest. Meeting Sir Alex Ferguson and Bruno Fernandes, externaland reviewed the World Championship trophy earlier this year.

“I never thought I would be in a car with one of the best Formula 1 drivers at the moment, but he took me in the car, and I played some darts with him too – it’s a really good experience.

“Then in the Tottenham match last season, on my way to the car I saw Bruno, external [Fernandes] I had to take a selfie with him.

“He’s one of my favorite players. He hasn’t missed a game due to injury yet, and he has been providing goals and certainly helping us in the last few seasons. This year he helped us avoid relegation!”
