Kevin Parker, OSC representative for Manchester City, said: “City fans will travel to the ends of the earth to support our team, and last night was no different in the Arctic Circle.
“Bodo is not an easy place to get to and the sub-zero temperatures made the evening a challenge on a number of levels for our fans.
“City support has an amazing relationship with the players on match day, and this gesture is another reminder of that relationship – it means a lot to us.
“We know the players are disappointed with the defeat to Bodo, but with our next home game on Saturday, there is a chance we can get back to winning ways and our fans will be in full voice.”
City suffered one of the biggest upsets in Champions League history when they were stunned by Glimt and now need to win their final group stage match against Galatasaray to ensure a top eight finish.
Haaland described the result as “embarrassing” and apologized to the traveling fans, telling TNT Sports: “Bodo played great football and he deserved it.
“I don’t know what to say. What I can say is that I’m sorry.”
