Manchester United Its president is Ruben Amorim He left the club after 14 months in charge – But how does his record compare to previous managers?
Amorim’s dismissal came after his team’s 1-1 draw against Leeds United in the English Premier League on Sunday, as the club finished sixth in the table.
United have won just twice in their last six league games, beating Newcastle and Wolverhampton away in December.
The club has achieved a 40% winning rate in the Premier League this season, winning eight of the 20 matches it has played so far.
In 63 games under Amorim, United won 24, drew 18 and lost on 21 occasions, giving the 40-year-old Portuguese the unfortunate record of worst winning percentage (31.9%) of any permanent United manager.
His record of 1.23 points per game in the Premier League is the lowest of all managers at Old Trafford since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013.
He also has the worst goals conceded per game ratio in the league (1.53) and the lowest clean sheet percentage in the league (15%) of any other United manager.
Since Amorim’s appointment, only three teams have won fewer points than United (58) – Tottenham (46), West Ham (45) and Wolves (39).
United finished 15th in Amorim’s first season, and also reached the Europa League final, where they lost 1-0 to Tottenham in Bilbao.
