Italian racer Marco Pizzicchi led from start to finish to take his second win of the season at the Portuguese Grand Prix.
The 26-year-old Aprilia rider won at Silverstone in May and triumphed again to boost his chances of third in the championship with one lap to go.
Polesitter Bezzecchi wasn’t quite as quick in Saturday’s race, when he came third, but this time he maintained his pace to finish ahead of Gresini Racing’s Alex Marquez and KTM’s Pedro Acosta.
Pizzicchi’s dominance was so strong that he finished more than 2.5 seconds behind Marquez, becoming the sixth different winner in the last six MotoGP races.
Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia, who is competing with Betzke for third place in the championship behind defending champion Marc Marquez and his brother and runner-up Alex, dropped out of fourth place, leaving him 35 points behind heading into the final round in Valencia.
In MotoGP, a rider can take a maximum of 37 points from each Grand Prix, with the winner of the Saturday afternoon sprint getting 12 points and the win in the Sunday race getting 25 points.
World champion Marc Marquez, who won his seventh MotoGP World Championship title in Japan last month, missed the race again due to a season-ending collarbone injury.
