Co-founder of multi-club ownership group Victoire Cogevina Reynal has left Mercury13, after five months in charge of Bristol City Women.
Raynal helped found Mercury13 in 2023 and took a controlling stake in Serie A women’s club Como Women a year later.
They did the same to Bristol City in September 2025, in a deal described as “pivotal” for the future of the WSL 2 club.
The group, which has pledged to invest more than £80m in buying and transforming women’s clubs around the world, has attempted to take over Lewes FC Women in 2023.
Mercury13 is led by Raynal – an American-born, London-based businesswoman and UN Ambassador for Gender Equality in Football – alongside Mario Malave.
In a statement posted on social media on Wednesday, Raynal said: “Today marks the end of my chapter at Mercury 13.
“From the beginning, Mercury13 has been rooted in the mission to accelerate the commercial recognition of European women’s football and unleash its full potential.
“I built this company to prove what is possible when women’s football is approached with conviction, innovation and long-term belief.”
She described her time at Mercury13 as “the privilege of my life” and believes “the game is in a better place” after her investment.
