Meta appoints former Trump advisor Dina Powell McCormick as president and vice president

Meta announced Monday that it has appointed former Trump adviser Dina Powell McCormick as president and vice president of the company. Paul McCormick will be a member of the company’s management team and will help guide Meta’s overall strategy and execution, Meta said.

“Dina’s experience at the highest levels of global finance, coupled with her deep relationships around the world, make her uniquely suited to help Meta manage this next phase of growth as the company’s president and vice chairman,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a blog post.

Paul McCormick served as Deputy National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump.

Trump celebrated the news on Truth Social in a post writing: “Congratulations to our Paul McCormick, who has just been named the new head of META. Great choice Mark Z!!! She is an amazing and extremely talented individual who has served the Trump administration with strength and distinction.”

Paul McCormick previously served as Under Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during the George W. Bush administration. She also spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs as a partner in senior leadership roles.

Last week, Meta hired Curtis Joseph Mahoney, a former Microsoft legal executive who also served as deputy US trade representative during Trump’s first term.
