✅ Here’s what you’ll learn:

Oliver Pearman may be a Formula 1 rookie, but he’s already proven himself to be an exceptional talent – even if he still has to pinch himself about who he races against.

“I never thought I would race against Max [Verstappen] “In real life, but I think some things change,” the 20-year-old said after an impressive drive at Sunday’s Mexico City Grand Prix, where he finished fourth, his best ever in Formula 1.

But Biermann not only raced with Verstappen, he produced some bold and impressive driving that even the four-time world champion would be proud of.

He even kept his cool in the closing stages of the race when he was chased by Oscar Piastri, who started the day as championship leader and needed to pass Pearman to ensure Mexico was left in that position.

Instead, Pearman held on, with Piastri taking fifth and a victory for his McLaren team-mate Lando Norris, meaning the latter now leads the standings by one point with four races remaining.

Based on this display, it is not unreasonable to predict that Berman could one day be in the same position as fellow Brit Norris and challenge for titles.

However, for now, he is just happy to compete with more experienced drivers.

“Definitely a crazy race,” he said. “I was a bit lost for words – at one point we were looking at the podium. I was taking it home very nervous.

“In the end, P4 is a great result and we got the points for both cars. We really needed this good result, so I’m really very happy.

“It was a crazy race. The first lap was good – I almost stayed out of trouble. Then the accident with Max and Lewis [Hamilton] “I was able to benefit from that, too.”
