📌 Here’s what you’ll learn:

Liverpool striker Mia Enderby has been taken to hospital with a suspected neck injury after her team was injured 2-1 defeat to Tottenham.

She appeared to land on her neck after jumping in an aerial challenge and was carried from the field on a stretcher.

There was 22 minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match, largely due to an injury to Enderby.

20-year-old Enderby has featured in all six of Liverpool’s Women’s Super League matches this season and started the match against Tottenham.

In his post-match press conference, manager Gareth Taylor said he had not yet spoken to the club’s medical department, but the injury “wasn’t nice to watch”.

Former Sheffield United player Enderby signed a new two-year contract in the summer, having made 42 appearances and scored six goals in her first two seasons with the club.

“I hope you’re okay,” Taylor added. “At one point I thought she was going to come back in terms of coming back and starting to play again but with these types of injuries it’s very important that we take care of her.”

Liverpool are already missing Marie Hoppinger and Sophie Romain-Hogg, who both suffered anterior cruciate ligament injuries before the international break.

The Reds are in second-bottom place in the WSL, having failed to get any points from their first six matches.
