📌 Here’s what you’ll learn:

England striker Michelle Agyemang was carried off on a stretcher with the injury, which coach Sarina Wegman described as “looking horrific” during the match. England beat Australia 3-0.

Agyemang, 19, went down with an off-the-ball injury just 13 minutes after being brought on to replace Alessia Russo.

In her post-match interview, Wegman said she had not yet received any information about the injury but expressed her concern.

“When you’re stretched out, it’s not nice anyway,” she told ITV. “This doesn’t look good. Of course, it hasn’t been confirmed, but it looks bad.”

Agyemang, currently on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, played a key role for the Lionesses in their Euro 2025 win.

Goals from the bench in the quarter-final against Sweden and in the semi-final against Italy forced extra time and gave England a platform to win.

Her exploits in Switzerland led to her being nominated for the Copa del Rey, an award given to the best female under-21 footballer in the world.

She has featured in five of Brighton’s six Women’s Super League matches this season, starting in each of those matches.
