Mikel Arteta: Arsenal manager promises “beautiful” things await Arsenal despite Manchester United’s result

However, Arteta said the reaction at the team meeting was “excellent”, and he believes it bodes well for his prospects for success in the remainder of the season.

“We took a moment to turn down the temperature, stop and think and ask two questions: One is, how do we feel, and how do I feel about myself? And then, how are we going to live the next four months?”

“And it was very encouraging and beautiful, because what came out of it was so simple.”

The Arsenal coach issued his message in a press conference before his guest match against Kairat in the Champions League, which will be held on Wednesday.

Arsenal is at the top of the European standings, with seven wins from seven, while its guest from Kazakhstan is in last place in the group stage table.

A first Premier League title since 2004 remains within Arsenal’s sights, with domestic cup success and a tilt at the Champions League trophy also in the picture.

Arteta said: “We have earned the right to be in a great position in four competitions, and in the next four months we will live and play with enjoyment, with a lot of courage and conviction that we will win them.”

“And that’s going to be the mentality and where we’re going to put our energy. And I just hope that everyone associated with this club, especially our supporters, will jump on this boat because that’s how we’re going to live the next four months because we deserve to live that way.”
