Between September and November, each team in the Nations League will face every other team in its group twice; Once at home and once away.
In League A, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals later in that campaign. A knockout tournament will then be held between those eight teams to determine the overall Nations League winner.
In Leagues B, C and D, each group winner will be promoted to one league.
Teams that finish bottom of their groups in Leagues A, B and C will be relegated to the second division.
The teams that finish second in groups from Leagues B, C and D will enter play-offs against the teams that finish third in Leagues A, B and C in the relegation play-offs.
The March 2027 international break will see League A quarter-finals and relegation matches between League A/B and League B/C.
The UN League semi-finals and final will be played during the international break in June 2027, as will the league play-off.
The best-performing Nations League teams that did not qualify for Euro 2028 will enter the qualifiers for the final qualifying places for the tournament.
