Bryce Young had the game of his life on Saturday, completing 24 of 35 attempts for two touchdowns to an interception in a 16-14 loss at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, fans believe that one moment cost him and his team dearly.
Early in the fourth quarter, the third-year quarterback tried to flash a flea with Rico Dowdle, who proceeded to slide and lose the ball. Then he failed to save possession:

Young’s best offensive weapon all day was rookie Titiroa McMillan, who caught four balls for 83 yards. However, he had a 32-yard bomb in the third quarter that was erased by offensive pass interference, and fumbled a lateral pass to end the game.
For the Buccaneers, Baker Mayfield had 16 completions on 22 attempts with a touchdown to Cade Otton and an interception.

Bryce Young’s reaction to the Panthers’ loss to the Bucs
After the game, Bryce Young stood up to share his thoughts. He said:
“I think we found our rhythm a little bit. The guys around me did a great job. Obviously you want to be able to have that throughout all four quarters, so I’m taking charge of that.”
The failed flea flash later appeared during his press conference. And about him he said:
“I think the natural instinct was probably to try to capture it.”
The result leaves the Panthers’ playoff fate in the hands of the Atlanta Falcons. A win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday would send Charlotte into the playoffs with a combined 3-1 record against them and the Buccaneers. When asked about the situation, Young would only say:
“We’ll see. I haven’t thought about it. It’ll be hard, and I’m not even watching it, to be honest with you. I’ll just see how it turns out.”
The division-deciding Falcons-Saints game begins at 1 PM ET/12 PM CT on Fox.
