The Jacksonville Jaguars have played in London every year since 2013, and twice in 2023.
They are the only team solely responsible for organizing an international match, so keep all the revenue from the event, and team boss Mark Lamping told BBC Sport that the Wembley match is more profitable than the Jacksonville match.
But rumors of the Jaguars one day moving to London were quashed when the Florida club committed to a major $1.4 billion (£1.1 billion) renovation project for their own stadium.
While that work is done, capacity will be reduced in 2026 and the Jags must play elsewhere in 2027, reportedly in Orlando., external They therefore have the option of playing two matches internationally in 2026 and three in 2027., external
“We haven’t determined the number yet,” Lamping said. He added: “First we have to determine where we will play in 2027, and then if there are difficulties in scheduling, it may lead us in one direction or another.”
Tickets have not sold out so quickly for London matches this season, but come match day, crowd attendances at Tottenham and Wembley were identical to previous years.
Despite there being more international matches, many European fans still travel to the UK. BBC Sport spoke to several Germans who attended a match in London, as they were never able to get a ticket for a match in their home country, due to the huge demand in their homeland.
“NFL fans across Europe are getting an incredibly good service,” Hodgson added. “There are a lot of opportunities to visit different countries and watch NFL games, but I think there are [still] “There is enough appetite to encourage fans to come and visit us.”
